A lovely spot nearby is the Dunas de Guardamar, a woodland park by the coast. It is a lovely spot to walk through. Its fauna includes red squirrels and black swans.
If your preference is golf, within a 30 minutes drive you will find several golf courses, the nearest being La Marquesa Golf Course, only 10 kms away. This is an 18-hole golf course open all year round set in a valley between mountains, and the layout of the round alternates between long holes and short ones. It is not excessively difficult so players of all levels will enjoy it.
Guardamar del Segura is south of the cosmopolitan capital of ALICANTE, a beautiful city full of history and wonderful architecture.
There are two airports Alicante and San Javier, Murcia from which Guardamar del Segura can be reached by car within a 25-30 minute drive.
